The Author was born on the 15th April 1940 and is an English author, convicted criminal and former politician. Jeffrey Archer studied for three years, gaining an academic qualification in teaching awarded by the Oxford Department for Education. After leaving Oxford, he continued as a charity fundraiser, working for the National Birthday Trust, a medical charity. His first book was Not a Penny More, Not a Penny Less and then Kane and Abel followed and proved to be his best-selling work, reaching number one on the New York Times bestsellers list.
