How to Setup Your Amzon Kindle In South Africa
Kindle Setup:
You will require an amazon.com account in order for you to purchase books using your kindle. Visit www.amazon.com and create an account. Please remember your login and password as you will need these for the kindle registration.
Once you’ve created your amazon, account, make sure your credit card is linked to the account, by clicking on ‘your account’ (top right hand corner on amazon.com) and then ‘manage payment options’
Use the USB cable to charge your kindle. You can charge it via wall plug, or USB.
Once you are finished charging, unplug the device from USB.
Press the ‘menu’ button
Select ‘settings’
Select ‘register’
Enter the email address associated with your amazon account, as well as the corresponding password.
Your kindle is now ready for use.

If your Kindle does not connect to the 3g network:
Go to Menu->Settings and then type 311 on the keyboard.
After a minute choose Vodacom (SA) 3G”.
This will ensure you are connected.
