Playstation 2: Nine years of bestselling games
On the 28th of October this year, the PS2 turned nine and has been dubbed the most successful gaming console, quickly being usurped by the PS3. Yet, despite the PS3, the older console is still moving about 100,000 units a month – a big deal for what will no doubt become an obsolete console.
Publishers are still, though, releasing games on both this version and the one up, amassing to what is now 10,000 PS2 titles. According to VGChartz.com, there have been some that have risen above the others. Here are there top 10 bestselling PS2 games.
While the new PS3 Slimline is more value for money and more publishers are making games for the new console, it may still be a while before the PS2 becomes completely obsolete.
