Woods as front man
The latest in a string of canceled
sponsorships, Tag Heuer has distanced itself from Tiger Woods in
the wake of his sex scandal involving hookers, porn stars and girls
he picked up in bars. This is the latest in a number of sponsors including
Gillette and Accenture, who are avoiding bad rep associated with the
golfer.
Gillette, men’s shaving accessory
company, distanced itself as sponsor of Tiger Woods last week. The company’s
slogan “The Best a Man Can Get” took on a somewhat ambiguous tone
after the news of Wood’s numerous affairs.
Accenture too have cancelled their
sponsorship of the golfing legend, and quite appropriately so as company
prides itself on forward thinking and planning. Something Tiger is no
longer the poster boy for.
