Casio totally just helped make a real-life lightsaber

Casio, home theatre, music and watch specialists, have helped in the creation of the world's first lightsaber. Although technically not a lightsaber, the Spyder III Arctic Portable Laser is basically Obi-Wan and Luke Skywalker's weapon of choice. The laser from Wicked Lasers is a high-powered portable laser that can burn almost anything.

Taken from the diodes in Casio's new mercury-free Green Slim projector, the Spyder III can set things on fire and make people blind, which makes wearing the "LaserShades" (commonly known as safety goggles), included in each purchase, a necessity. The Green Slim projector from Casio allows for unprecedented blinding light; 2,000 times brighter to the human eye than Wicked Laser's Sonar laser. The portable laser is in a class on its own, blasting out one full Watt of blue light.

The device is featured on Wicked Laser's Theater Projector Series, and is the first device of home theatre devices to bear direct blue diodes. They have created the world's first 445nm direct blue diode laser which can also be used as a weapon, much to the content of Jedi and Sith Lord wannabes.

Wicked Lasers, or Team Wicked as they like to be called, specialize in creating laser pointers. Why? Because they can and because lasers are awesome. Obviously.
