You have been following trends of DJ’s, ever since you fell in love with music and playing people your favourite tunes for an audience. Somehow you were told to do it the old school way with vinyl’s because, that’s were it started and that’s how you will move the crowd. Well you will be glad to hear that’s not all true because with CDJ the impossible can be done; now the new CDJ-400 is here to take music further into the future.
The CDJ-400 is a player that has the possibility to play music from a lot of different sources. You can insert different types of discs such as CD's, CD-R's and CD-RW's, but you can also CD-ROM's with (folders of) MP3's.
The latest model CDJ-400, which incorporates the main new vinyl mode and a virtual platter that allows the operator to manually manipulate music on a CD as if it were on a turntable, feature of having a USB input and control abilities on the player. Other models (CDJ-100S, CDJ-200) do not feature vinyl and scratching capabilities, and are essentially CD players.
On the back of the CDJ-400 is another USB connector that can be used to connect the CDJ-400 to a computer. This will enable the MIDI (means musical instrumental Digital interface) control possibilities so the player can be used to control various types of DJ mix software and the MIDI channel of the CDJ can also be changed between 0 and 16, this to make it possible to connect more than 1 CDJ to a MIDI chain. The CDJ-400 has a built in USB sound card.
The Pioneer CDJ-400 has 6 build in effects, 3 Scratch Effects and 3 Jog Effects. The effects that will be activated depend on the setting of the Jog mode: CDJ or Vinyl.
