“The Sims 3” crosses over to Nintendo DS
2009 and saw the hugely popular game, “The Sims 3”, overwhelm PC, Mac and the iPhone in North America and Europe. 2010 will see it take on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and Nintendo DS. As Xbox and PS3 are network enabled, users will be able to share their own content , while Wii gets a new beach town and the “Life Moments” mode and DS has face-sculpting with the stylus.
Traditionally the strategic life-simulating game was reserved for PC given that it is in fact a strategy game. Now creators Electronic Arts are bringing the game to console and handheld games with a unique approach for each platform. According to a press release sent out by EA executive producer, Sam Player, the unique traits, living open neighbourhood, lifetime wishes and endless customisation options characteristic of the game are being tailored to each platform.
In fact each platform will receive entirely unique features that do not cross platforms, which means avid fans can get three new versions of the game, on top of the PC version they have already. Unfortunately though, the game will not be appearing on the PlayStation Portable (PSP).
So if you fall into that category we recommend you get the Nintendo DS. Or perhaps the 120 GB PlayStation 3. Both available on WantItAll for local delivery.
